I once wondered what happens when you take away the most significant possession of a person’s life.
Does that person then become better or worse off. It’s interesting to think about considering the different types of people in the world.
Some must have their items they hold dearly to continue to sustain life.
Whereas others in life have no houses, let alone possessions,
Are they more or less possibly unselfish and don’t care about much expect to be thankful for everyday that comes their way?

This being my third piece, i thought i would put a smaller one, considering the other two are over 400 words each. Short and sharp.
This was one of them "Just a Thought.." moments i had and decided to write it down. Enjoy!
If you take something of significance or something prescious from someone then they wont be very happy, they would be quite sad in my view i know i would be. As for those who dont have houses (live on streets) beg for money ect. im pretty sure they are not that greatful for been given the life they have although it may not have been entirly there fault. Thinking about it now is twisting my mind.
i suppose it comes down to a lot of things. what are these people living for? a lot of people tend to live for money. money is more valuable than their own lives. while others in far away places tend to live with nothing, but already be grateful for breathing, grateful that they have indeed woken up to see the sun rise another time.
a person who i respect and honor is the dali lama, he created instructions to life, its an amazing mantra, ive posted it as a blog before, but ill copy it here.
1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
2. When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
3. Follow the three R’s:
Respect for self
Respect for others and
Responsibility for all your actions.
4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
6. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
8. Spend some time alone every day.
9. Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.
12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
13. In disagreements with loved ones deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.
14. Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.
15. Be gentle with the earth.
16. Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.
17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
people who follow that mantra, and possess that mentality, are the most genuine people you'd meet. then in comparison to them, there are the greedy, the cold, the hateful, the ones who thrive revenge and vengeance, living for all the wrong reasons.
then again, people are who they are due to events they have lived through. no one can determine a serial killer from birth...
ok i drifted. i cant give my all on this topic because my prize possession possess a beating heart.
for others it may be something lifeless, but my brother and my own life is what i value more than i anything that ive seen in the world so far.
if everything was stolen, if my house burned down, what would i do? naturally, check if my family is safe. because you cant them back.
