It wasn't until a complete stranger asked me...

"What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" that I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

And in my mind I had said: "Well...I'd like to build an orphanage, I suppose."

The man then stared into the crowd and said "Well why haven't you?"

Amendment: For anyone that lives in Australia, you may know that orphanages do not actually exist and have been replaced with foster and state care. So building an orphanage was more of a directional answer than a solid and direct one. I'd like to imagine myself involving youth in whatever career I choose in life.

How did the guy know what you were saying when it was in your head!!! Strangers are weird in a somewhat good sense because sometimes the most random things are so very relevant to someone.

Wow, thats a thought-provoking question.

If i knew someone who couldnt fail, i would naturally, like most others, be driven to ask them for assistance and almost be dependant off them.

I like how one question leads to another, ask yourself the opposite of chris' question; "...you always failed"
How would you react and achieve goals?

Good short post.

I think it's a good point..we all make excuses or come up with reasons for why something is too hard. But then you have to remember that sometimes things are legitimate, and aren't excuses. For example, I'm 17 so I'm restricted by legalities of age.

I like Bez's question..I suppose you wouldn't set goals, because then you wouldn't be failing. You could still achieve without having a set goal, and then it wouldn't be failing, right? I don't know.

did you know you can do volunteering in orphanages in poor countries? I'm going to do it next year in Romania (if I can work it out with uni). if you want to get experience in the area, it's always an option.
just an idea :)
